Thirsk Rotary Club paid us another visit this week to present their annual Endeavour Award. 

Twelve local primary schools in and around Thirsk, choose the Year 6 pupil in their school who in their view meet the criteria set by Thirsk Rotary Club, which was to decide whom they wanted to be recognized for their Endeavour Award.

The pupils they choose are those whom they judged to have made a consistently good recognizable effort which significantly benefited the school in some way.  This could be by being helpful to their fellow pupils and staff, or showing outstanding team spirit. It is not necessarily for any academic achievement.

Once the children are chosen, their names are engraved on a special shield and presented in the leavers assembly. 

This year we are proud to announce that Lizzie Kellyhas been chosen to receive The Endeavour Award for all her outstanding effort and attitude throughout their time her at Sowerby Academy.  A massive well done...well deserved!
